Sinners in the hands of an angry God

The “I’m okay, you’re okay,” feel good, politically correct, “We do not want to offend anyone,” churches of the last few decades have produced congregations that are no different than the secular culture in so many ways.

We need to fill the pulpits again with “Jonathan Edwards” preachers.  Preaching “Sinners in the hands of an angry God.”  The sermons that brought about the first Great Awakening and a profound shift in our national culture.

A land of persons grounded in true Christianity created the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.  France, at a similar time, created a nation not on Christian principles and it brought about the guillotine, plus a Republic followed by an Empire followed by a Republic followed by an Empire followed by multiple constitutions, instability, and some of the worst philosophies ever to corrupt Western civilization.

Stop trying to create a god in your own image, but follow the commands of the one true God before it is too late.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. When we Christians go along with a world at war with God, we lose our saltiness and become good for nothing. Connie
